- [Dax] My name is Dax.
I'm seven years old, 7 and 3/4.
Today we're making clafoutis.
- [Gavin] Today we're making clafoutis.
- [Dax] It looks like a pizza, but bigger and instead of pepperoni, raspberries, and instead of being salty, sugary.
We did blackberries and raspberries.
- [Gavin] We picked purple berries, black berries and red berries, yellow berries.
I didn't know that there were that many types.
So raspberries, I've only saw red.
(upbeat music) - [Dax] If you want to make clafoutis, you'll need flour, milk, sugar, eggs, salt, berries.
(upbeat music) (upbeat music continues) - [Gavin] You crack eggs and put them into the bowl.
- [Dax] You whisk it hard so that the sugar dissolves into the eggs.
- [Gavin] Two pinches of salt.
- [Dax] We add milk.
(upbeat music) - [Gavin] We then put flour in it.
- [Dax] Whisk it until there no more lumps.
(upbeat music) You might need a grownup for that because the lumps are hard to get out.
After you're done whisking, you dump it into a pie plate.
- [Gavin] Put berries or fruit in it.
If you don't have raspberries, you can put strawberries or any fruit in your clafouti.
- [Mom] How many berries do you think are in there?
- Four hundred eight.
- I'm guessing 105.
- No.
- [Gavin] The first time I had clafoutis it looked like pizza and it did not taste like pizza.
- [Dax] The inside of clafoutis is yellow.
The top is yellow too.
(upbeat music) - [Gavin] I would say it tasted like the best dessert in the world.
- [Dax] It tastes super good.
- [Gavin] You should make clafoutis because it's my favorite dessert.
(upbeat music) - Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
- Clafoutis, clafoutis.
