Unseasonably dry weather makes perfect conditions for wildfires
The U.S. National Weather Service of Philadelphia, Mount Holly and New York warned that a drop in humidity Monday was combining with wind patterns to create perfect conditions for fires to spread in New Jersey, where no rain has fallen in 29 days. Since Oct. 1, the state Forest Fire Service has responded to 302 wildfires, which have burned 549.25 acres.
